GPSJ AWARDS

The Government & Public Sector Journal ‘Above & Beyond’ Awards are for government and public sector workers and those closely allied to them who have in the course of their work or duty gone ‘above and beyond’ what would be reasonably expected of them.

The awards are limited to around six per year and are usually by notification to us from various organisations who feel their staff would have carried out actions that fit the criteria of the award as above. The panel of judges are completely independent of GPSJ and are sent details of the various submissions we receive and decide the winners based on the merit of the actions carried out and decided with a majority vote.

Suggestions can be made by anyone but the persons put foward for the award must be able to prove they work in the public sector and we would expect an employer to provide any proof we require of employment status and proof of the actions they have carried out to deserve the award.

Winners receive a personal certificate, trophy and £100.00 to spend as they wish, group winners have the payment to share between them.

The Government & Public Sector Journal (GPSJ) awards panel members are:

Andy Carter – Andy is a former broadcast journalist, who now works in PR and communications. He started his career with a local radio station but went on to work for the BBC, Sky News and Virgin Radio.
