{"id":1814,"date":"2009-11-27T23:55:00","date_gmt":"2009-11-27T23:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gpsj.flyingatom.everycity.co.uk\/2009\/11\/certificate-of-competence-for-rodney-pearce\/"},"modified":"2009-11-27T23:55:00","modified_gmt":"2009-11-27T23:55:00","slug":"certificate-of-competence-for-rodney-pearce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gpsj.co.uk\/?p=1814","title":{"rendered":"Certificate of competence for Rodney Pearce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rodney Pearce, one of the UK&#8217;s most senior and highly respected Fire Risk Assessors, who recently passed away, has been awarded a posthumous certificate of competence from Warrington Certification Limited (WCL). <\/p>\n<p>Receiving the award on behalf of Rodney were Fireco&#8217;s MD Neil Purssey and Tom Welland, with Fireco Fire Risk Assessor Cyril Moseley who was also awarded the WCL Competent Fire Risk Assessor Certification. <\/p>\n<p>Simon Ince, manager of personnel schemes for WCL, presenting the awards said, &#8216;Congratulations to Cyril on being one of the first Fire Risk Assessors in the UK to successfully attain Competent Fire Risk Assessors Certification. I wanted to come here myself to present this certificate as Fireco have assisted us in pioneering this scheme and I also know they are extremely passionate about appropriate certification for Fire Risk Assessors.&#8217; Speaking of Rodney he added: &#8216;Presenting his award to Fireco is a fitting tribute to a very capable man, who will be missed by all those in the industry who knew him.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>WCL, in partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), operates an independent third party &#8216;competent persons&#8217; scheme in accordance with ISO\/IEC 17024:2003.
