SMS will deliver its managed chargepoint solutions as a fully funded or part-funded service, helping to significantly lower the financial barrier organisations face when deploying the technology at scale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpsj.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20220211_140458-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-6853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gpsj.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20220211_140458-2-1024x781.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"381\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gpsj.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20220211_140458-2-1024x781.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.gpsj.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20220211_140458-2-300x229.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.gpsj.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20220211_140458-2-768x586.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.gpsj.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20220211_140458-2-150x114.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.gpsj.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20220211_140458-2-400x305.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>In partnership with charge point operator (CPO) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, Clenergy EV, SMS will also offer access to innovative chargepoint management software that allows organisations to manage and monitor all aspects of their business charging network via an Open Charge Point Protocol<sup>1<\/sup> (OCPP)-compliant platform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\">With a recent report commissioned by Transport and Environment (T&amp;E) highlighting that there are currently more EV chargepoints in workplaces (33,000) than public chargers (31,500), SMS looks to assist private and public sector organisations across both of these key market segments, supporting the UK Government\u2019s EV Infrastructure Strategy to reach 300,000 chargepoints nationwide by 2030.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\">In addition to workplace and public charging, SMS is also targeting the destination charging market \u2013 which broadly refers to chargepoints installed by leisure, retail, and hospitality businesses \u2013 as well as the fleet sector.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\">SMS brings to the EV charging marketplace significant energy consultancy and engineering heritage, with the company having played a leading role in delivering some of the UK\u2019s flagship utility infrastructure programmes over recent years.
